As a 50/50 Jackpot Fundraising Representative for the Houston Texans, I have the privilege of contributing to the organization’s mission to cultivate excellence and become the most respected professional sports franchise worldwide. My role focuses on promoting and selling 50/50 jackpot tickets to fans during Houston Texans home games, supporting the Houston Texans Foundation's philanthropic initiatives.
With a commitment to community engagement and teamwork, I connect with fans to drive enthusiasm for Texans Foundation programs. My responsibilities include delivering compelling ticket sales pitches, handling ticket distribution, and reconciling sales to ensure accurate reporting. This role demands adaptability, integrity, and a winning attitude, aligning with the Texans’ CHARGE values of excellence and continuous evolution.
My experience in customer service, along with a strong work ethic, has equipped me with the skills to thrive in a high-energy sports environment. From my third game, I was the third best-seller in the pre-game before the game even started!
Rice Athletics:
Rice Creatives Intern
Working with the Rice Creative Team provided a valuable opportunity to deepen my passion for photography and videography within the dynamic field of sports. This experience allowed me to capture high-quality content during practices and games using professional-grade cameras and to refine my skills in editing photos and videos, creating engaging reels, and managing social media content. As part of the program, I attended weekly classes that covered key aspects of photography, such as mastering shutter speed, understanding sensor sensitivity (ISO), and using advanced editing software.
In addition to structured learning, I participated in weekly shifts, where I collected content that showcased the energy and spirit of our Rice Owls, contributing to the Social Media and Creative Team's efforts. This hands-on internship equipped me with essential technical skills, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for storytelling through visual media.
It was a fulfilling experience that allowed me to support our athletic community while developing professionally with the tools and guidance necessary to excel. Below is a selection of my favorite content captured during the Spring Semester, reflecting my growth and passion for sports media.
Rice Athletics:
Student Athletic Trainer
Collaborating with the Sports Medicine team, I assisted in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured athletes through physical therapy, treatments, and the use of specialized equipment, gaining firsthand experience in athletic injury care, assessment, and rehabilitation protocols. I also observed and supported the application of modalities and emergency medical preparedness, further developing my knowledge of injury prevention and recovery strategies.
My role extended beyond clinical care, encompassing logistical operations essential to athletic events. This included setting up and breaking down practice and game-day equipment, managing hydration stations, and ensuring emergency medical equipment was readily available. These responsibilities taught me the importance of teamwork, attention to detail, and adaptability in high-pressure environments. Additionally, I assisted in taping and preparing student-athletes before practices and games, contributing to their readiness and performance.
This experience directly complements my aspirations to become a sports lawyer and agent, as it has provided me with invaluable insights into the challenges and needs of athletes, the operational complexities of sports organizations, and the critical role of interdisciplinary teamwork. It has strengthened my ability to navigate the multifaceted landscape of sports management and athlete advocacy, skills I will carry forward in my future legal career.
NFL Honors:
Talent Escort
Serving as a Talent Escort for the NFL Honors was an unparalleled opportunity that combined professionalism, adaptability, and high-pressure event management, essential skills for my future as an entertainment and sports attorney and agent. My role involved escorting prominent individuals, including Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb at Symphony Hall acclaimed actress Issa Rae at Resorts World Theatre, and Los Angeles Rams Defensive Lineman Kobie Turner in New Orleans, ensuring their seamless navigation of the red carpet and backstage areas.
Beyond the logistical responsibilities, I contributed to the success of a live, nationally televised event by maintaining clear communication and precise coordination to ensure talent was always present and prepared. This role required exceptional organizational skills, discretion, and the ability to build trust quickly with high-profile individuals—all attributes critical for client advocacy and representation in the entertainment and sports industries.
The experience provided me with firsthand exposure to the intricacies of high-profile events, from talent management to behind-the-scenes operations. It underscored the importance of effective communication, attention to detail, and quick decision-making—skills I aim to leverage as I advocate for athletes and entertainers in legal and contractual matters. This opportunity not only enriched my understanding of the entertainment and sports industries but also solidified my passion for supporting talent and navigating the complex intersections of law, media, and performance.
Final Four and the Local Organizing Committee: Intern
As a member of the Local Organizing Committee for the NCAA Final Four, I had the privilege of contributing to one of the most celebrated events in college sports. My responsibilities involved assisting with event operations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring that the tournament ran smoothly for athletes, staff, and spectators. This role required exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team to meet the demands of a large-scale, nationally televised event.
Working closely with stakeholders, I gained firsthand exposure to the operational intricacies of hosting a premier collegiate sports event. From managing venue logistics to supporting game-day operations, my contributions helped create a seamless experience for all participants. This opportunity not only deepened my appreciation for the intersection of sports, event management, and community engagement but also enhanced my problem-solving and time-management skills under high-pressure conditions.
This experience is highly relevant to my aspirations as a sports attorney and agent. It provided me with a unique perspective on the behind-the-scenes dynamics of major sporting events, including compliance with NCAA regulations, sponsorship activation, and athlete needs. My role on the committee solidified my passion for the sports industry and my commitment to supporting athletes both on and off the field.
Seun Adigun, LLC and Extra Wellness Center, LLC: Executive Assistant
As an executive assistant to a two-time Olympian, I managed speaking engagements, endorsements, and TV appearances, ensuring seamless coordination of contracts, schedules, and media relations. I created, edited, and filmed social media content to enhance brand visibility while forming strategic partnerships with sponsors and collaborators. Additionally, I supported contract negotiations and logistics for athlete endorsements and professional engagements, refining my skills in drafting agreements and managing high-profile projects.
On the medical-legal side, I worked to protect and prioritize patients by assisting with injury lawsuit files and ensuring compliance with legal and medical standards. My clinical contributions included applying Neuromuscular Release Therapy, conducting clinical assessments, and developing personalized fitness regimens. In addition, this internship took place during both the Houston Tornado and Hurricane Beryl so a large aspect of our work focused on giving back to the Houston community and helping those whose lives were affected by both natural tragedies.
This multifaceted role strengthened my ability to navigate the intersection of sports, business, healthcare, and legal strategy, laying a strong foundation for my career in sports and entertainment law.
